We are currently seeking a Inspector to support our growing team in our Baltimore office.
Responsibilities:
The Inspector will be responsible for ensuring contractors compliance through reviewing interpreting and enforcing of plans and contract documents for efficient and timely inspection of the contractors work, and shall:
- Ability to work in a team environment to plan, coordinate, inspect and oversee project activities of Water and Sanitary Sewer installation to include pavement restoration.
- Ability to interpret Site Plans
- Apply knowledge and experience towards the inspection of water and sewer installation using required standards and specifications.
- Apply engineering principles in the inspection and documentation of construction activities.
- Oversee and aid in the approval of Field Changes to meet field conditions.
- Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation using eConstruction software.
- Conduct testing of materials following local Standards and Specifications
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of Erosion and Sediment Control devices to insure they are placed per the approved plan and within required specifications.
- Apply Best Management Practices to safety activities.
- Communicate with various stakeholders including Local, State and Federal Governments
- Ability to Physically perform essential duties such as, Walking, Standing, Bending, and lifting loads weighing up to 80lbs.
Qualifications:
The Inspector qualifications for this role include:
- Experience in inspection of Water & Wastewater Projects
- Experience in soil and concrete testing.
- Must be current or able to obtain following certifications:
- Mid-Atlantic Region Technician Certification Program (MARTCP)
o Concrete
o HMA (Asphalt)
o Soils & Aggregates (Including Nuclear Gauge)
o Pavement Markings
Sediment and Erosion Control
o Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) Responsible Personnel Certification (RPC), formally called Green Card
o SHA Erosion and Sediment Control Yellow Card
Temporary Traffic Control Manager
OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience operating computer equipment, software programs including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Required to work various shifts and on weekends.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
