Job Description
Keville Enterprises, Inc., a growing Construction Management Consulting and Inspection firm, is seeking candidates for a full-timeElectrical Inspector to perform construction inspection services in support of a runway project for the Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) in Baltimore, MD. The work to be performed will be done primarily in nighttime shifts with occasional daytime operations. The duties and responsibilities of the Electrical Inspector include the following:
- Inspect work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications.
- Track and document work performed. Prepare Daily Reports electronically and submit by the end of the day.
- Work with construction contractor, MAA personnel, commercial airline, air operations.
- Ensure that construction submittals are approved as required by the contract, prior to allowing material on site and work to proceed with these items.
- Immediately report non-complying work as well as individuals who fail to perform their work in a skillful, safe and workmanlike manner. Maintain a rework log.
- Maintain as-built data info. Use as-built data to review the contractor's as-builts for accuracy.
- Perform Punch-out inspections, participate in Final inspections, submit lists of deficiencies, and ensure correction of all deficiencies prior to final turn-over.
- Ensure that all required close-out items are correct, complete and in accordance with the contract prior to being submitted to the owner.
- Ensure that all applicable tests and observations required by the contract are performed and shall coordinate all on-site testing required by this contract.
- Review and comment on the accuracy of the Construction Contractor's Payment.
- Maintain a file of construction photographs documenting progress and problem areas and include appropriate photographs in weekly progress reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) The Inspector must be a high school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years total construction inspection experience.
(2) A minimum of five (5) years of electrical work/inspection experience is required and should include project experience with electrical systems and associated work items.
(3) Thorough knowledge of general building construction practices and methods.
(4) Ability to write and speak to report on progress and outcome of technical assignments and to present recommendations.
(5) Ability to monitor construction projects to a successful and timely completion.
(6) Knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws and regulations as they relate to engineering performance requirements.
(7) Master Electrician License is preferred.
(8) International Code Council ICC Inspector certification is preferred.
