The Insights and Impact team is seeking to fill the role of an Associate located in its New York City or Washington, DC office. This individual will play a critical role supporting the development and execution of the Corporate Responsibility thought leadership agenda and other projects that will help to advance an inclusive and equitable economy. The Associate will report to an Executive Director on the Insights and Impact team, and work across the Corporate Responsibility organization to coordinate this work. Core responsibilities include project coordination, research, analysis, writing, content development, reporting, planning meetings and events, creating stakeholder engagement plans, outcomes tracking, and collaborating with colleagues across the organization to execute strategies.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute project plans for the thought leadership agenda by conducting research and analysis, coordinating meetings and events, tracking activities and outcomes, and drafting materials including agendas, briefs, decks, budgets, updates, social media posts, etc.
- Provide support to identify, develop and manage emerging opportunities by developing and maintaining a network to understand priorities across the organization and lines of business, as well as convening tables with internal and external stakeholders to discuss issues, explore viewpoints, and identify areas of consensus.
- Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement plans to advance a thought leadership agenda, and amplify JPMC Institute research and PolicyCenter priorities.
- Provide support for stakeholder identification, engagement plans, distribution lists and related activities and execute strategic outreach to new and existing contacts to establish briefings, coordinate roundtables or other events, and identify shared priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships across Corporate Responsibility and the firm to support shared goals and manage risks appropriately
- Develop and manage team processes and systems, such as project plans, templates, progress and outcomes trackers, knowledge management, communications, etc. Aptitude for collaborative problem solving. Be able to break down a problem to core components and troubleshoot accordingly.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 4-5 years of experience in consulting, community engagement, policy, and/or public affairs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent relationship building and collaborative decision-making skills
- Flexibility and organization to manage dynamic timelines and competing priorities
- Positive self-starter with strong independent problem-solving skills
- Prior experience and success in roles requiring attention to detail
- Deep prior experience with core Microsoft Office applications

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with workforce development, small business, financial health and housing is a plus
- Previous experience supporting and/or working with low-income communities
