Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and energetic Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic and growing sales team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in sales within the transportation industry. The Inside Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing sales deals.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and research potential customers within the target market segments.
- Utilize various prospecting techniques such as cold calling, email outreach, and social selling to generate new leads.
- Qualify leads based on their transportation needs, budget, and potential for long-term partnership.
- Sales Engagement:
- Conduct outbound sales calls and emails to engage with prospects, understand their transportation requirements, and introduce JB Harris Logistics' services.
- Articulate the value proposition of our transportation solutions and tailor presentations to address the specific needs and challenges of potential customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects through effective communication and follow-up to move them through the sales pipeline.
- Sales Process Management:
- Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure.
- Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to ensure smooth handover of accounts and seamless execution of customer contracts.
- Utilize CRM software to track leads, update customer information, and report sales activities and outcomes accurately.
- Market Intelligence and Feedback:
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors' activities to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Provide feedback to the sales leadership team regarding customer preferences, market trends, and potential areas for improvement in our services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Previous experience in sales or customer service roles is a plus, but we welcome entry-level candidates with a strong desire to learn and succeed in sales.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with prospects over the phone, email, and in-person.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and establish trust with potential customers.
- Results-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software (e.g., Spiro, Salesforce, HubSpot) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the transportation industry or logistics operations is a plus, but not mandatory.
Compensation:
- Base salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year
- Performance-based incentives and bonuses
