We are recycling carbon fiber, at scale, into useful formats for enabling easy adoption by high-volume industries such as automobile manufacturing, consumer electronics, and other industrial applications.
We are increasing capacity in 2024 and hiring an Inside Sales Engineer to support customers, manage inbound leads, and drive outbound sales campaigns.

Job Description
The Inside Sales person will report to the VP of Sales. The role will be based at Vartega’s HQ in Denver, CO. The Inside Salesperson will provide customer service and support the VP of Sales in pursuing opportunities for carbon fiber sales across a broad range of industries (such as additive manufacturing, sporting goods, automotive, motorsports, and consumer goods) and customer types. The Inside Sales person will communicate with prospective and current customers to advise on pricing and order status.
The role will involve:
- Solving problems. Sales is providing a product or service to address a need and/or solve a customer’s problem.
- Customer support. Your job is to address inbound leads, provide quotes, and nurture ongoing customer relationships.
- Owning the customer relationship. Vartega’s customers are valued partners and collaborators. We adhere to our core values as we support our customers.
- Utilizing a CRM (we use Copper) and leveraging this tool to track opportunities through the sales process.
- Working through SMART sales goals/targets with the help of Company leadership.
- Lead generation via cold outreach, networking, trade show attendance, and participation in industry groups such as IACMI, ACMA, and SAMPE.
- Preparing for trade shows/conferences such as CAMX, SAMPE, JEC, Wasatch Front Materials Expo, CompositesWorld CarbonFiber, NPE, etc.
- Preparing for Industry Tech Days at key customer facilities.
- Engaging with the vision, mission, and values of Vartega and emulating this culture within the company’s work environment.
- Providing customer assistance for product and pricing inquiries and overall support for customers promptly.
- Accurately processing customer orders.
- Communicating information to internal and external customers.
- Working in partnership with the VP of Sales to support their customers and the sales goals of Vartega.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to provide exceptional customer service, communicate effectively, and demonstrate courtesy, tact, and confidentiality when dealing with customers (internal and external)
- Capable of multi-tasking and working both as a team and independently
- Must be self-directed and have the ability to work independently and with little supervision
- The ability to work with various personalities and remain calm and courteous in all situations
- A high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving and problem resolution skills
- Proficient with a computer and using email and internet portals
- Self-motivated and not easily distracted
- Persistent
- Attentive to detail and well-organized
- Agile and able to adapt to changing circumstances
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft products
- Experience using Google Workspace
Preferred Education and Skills
- Four-year college degree, preferably in Engineering
- Domain experience in the thermoset composites and/or thermoplastics industries
- Sales experience in technical fibers, composites, or other advanced materials
- CRM and/or ERP software experience
