Requirements
Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Revenue Cycle, provides data for MGRMC's inpatient/outpatient care information systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least18 years of age.
- Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent.
- If not currently certified, an AAPC or AHIMA certification to include CCS or CPC or COC or CIC certification will be required within one (1) year from hire.
- 2 years minimum Clinic coding experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge coding diagnoses, operations, and non-operative procedures utilizing the ICD10-CM and CPT coding systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, statistics, and computer skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of MGRMC staff and support personnel required.
- Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
- An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
- Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds.
- Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
