Job Summary: Performs maintenance activities (preventative, routine, repair) to a variety of PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING machines to ensure optimum production, quality of product(s) and safety of machine operations.
This position is for Second Shift M-F 3:00pm to 11:30pm OR Third Shift M-F 11:00pm to 7:30am (OT available)For maximal production efficiency projects include:
- Maintain Plastic Injection Molding Machinery
- Analyzes mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and operational problems of PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING machines
- Plan for and take corrective action on related problems found
- Making correct adjustments to ensure maximum production and quality of product
- Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected
To maintain effective Equipment Operations:
- Reviews production schedule to ensure machine(s) are ready for planned production or scheduled routine and preventative maintenance; Make appropriate equipment changes as needed
- Perform scheduled maintenance activities as needed and/or according to schedule
- Test equipment to ensure optimum operations for production
Performing corrective maintenance checks:
- Makes preventative maintenance checks and inspection of assigned equipment
- Reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action
- Repair and diagnose problems with PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING machinery
- Repair and diagnose problems with manufacturing support equipment such as cranes, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and/or general repairs to PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING machinery.
- Ability to effectively use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing related equipment
- Ability to effectively present information management.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Maintenance of Plastic Injection Molding machinery is required
- Experience with any of the following PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING machines highly desired: Krauss Maffei, Haitian, Battenfeld, UBE, Cincinnati Milacron, Nissei, Husky and more
- Experience with any of the following skills are highly desired: Electrical, Hydraulics, Robotics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Machining, Welding, Controls, HV/AC, Facilities
