Purpose: Motivated and compassionate Infusion Nurse responsible for fulfilling the highest expectations of patient care to a medically diverse, primarily outpatient GI population. Passionate interest in elevating the field of GI to ensure our most vulnerable populations receive high-quality, evidence-based care.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE:
- Infusion of Remicade and Entyvio
- Pre-medicate patient prior to infusion or as needed or determined.
- Take vital signs and assess patient to include weight, temperature, pulse rate, respirations, and blood pressure.
- Start IV medication which includes calculating dosage and reconstitution of medication.
- Continually monitor patient throughout infusion for reactions, pain or other problems and treat, if necessary, per protocol.
- Education of infusion discharge instructions.
- Schedule patients for next infusion appointments.
- Answer questions from the patient
- Create a calming environment and make sure the patient is comfortable during the treatment
- Other Duties as needed
DESIRABLE (and some required) QUALITIES IN A CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- RN license
- Infusion therapy experience and training
- Strong communication and patient care skills

Pay: $45.31 - $47.07 per hour
