We are currently looking for a Part-time Infusion Nurse (RN) to work in our busy Gastroenterology offices in downtown Denver. Travel between the two locations is required.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction and supervision of the Office Managers, the Infusion Nurse (RN) will administer medication and fluids to patients through injection. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or have graduated from an accredited and approved nursing program. Gastroenterology and Hepatology experience preferred.
*An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed below, may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Infusion Nurse (RN) will work closely with other medical office personnel to:
- Administer IV infusion therapy on patients with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
- Monitor fluid tubes and check infusions.
- Provide care in both office and hospital settings.
- Support the overall goals of the company.
- Perform other job related duties as requested or required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Must be comfortable with IV administration
- Advanced knowledge of veins and arteries
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with clinicians, patients, administrators, and auxiliary personnel.
- Graduate from an accredited program.
- ACLS / BLS certification.
- Strong clinical background and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients and business associates
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Flexibility to meet changing needs of the current healthcare environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
