Registered Nurse - Infusion

Infusion for Health is a referral-based infusion center that services all providers in multiple locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Colorado, and Missouri. Our center is unique and offers individual comfortable private rooms for our patients. Our mission is to provide exceptional service in the administration of infusion therapy in a comfortable, patient-focused environment by providing exemplary professional clinical care.

Our company is continuing to grow and we're looking for a Per Diem Infusion RN r to support our centers in Loveland, Fort Collins, Thornton and Greenwood Village, CO.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Infusion for Health Registered Nurse will work as part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals to provide intravenous and injectable treatment to patients in an outpatient setting.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, Associate Degree in Nursing accepted
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Minimum of one-year post-graduate RN experience required
• Recent infusion experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Keen assessment and monitoring skills; ability to identify medication reactions quickly.
• Skilled at performing intravenous catheter placement and monitoring for signs and symptoms of infusion related complications.
• Competent in the care, use, and maintenance of central lines.
• Skilled in drawing labs using aseptic technique.
• Able to demonstrate infection control precautions and sterile technique.
• Possess knowledge of IV medications, biologics, fluids, and blood components.
• Able to provide age-appropriate education to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and elderly patients.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a group.
• Strong computer skills, including word processing, efficient use of the internet and email, and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

ESSENTIAL FUCTIONS

• Greets patients and escorts them to the infusion room
• Provide patient education about their treatment and answer questions about adverse reactions
• Provide general nursing care to patients; administers prescribed medications, per drug protocol for adults and children.
• Establish IV access and also access central lines
• Observe, record and reports patient's condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to the Clinical Director and records in electronic medical record (EMR)
• Provides accurate documentation in the patient's EMR
• Provide close monitoring of patients in infusion rooms
• Maintains timely flow of patient care and documentation
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
• Replenishes IV carts and cleans infusion rooms
• Answer incoming telephone calls as needed
• Follows all OSHA guidelines to minimize exposure to blood borne pathogens
• Follow HIPAA regulations and practices with a high level of integrity and honesty by maintaining patient confidentiality
• Follows established policies, procedures, objectives and performance improvements.

The hourly pay range for this role is expected to be between $45-$55. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
