Infrastructure and Security Manager
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Local Candidates only , not relocation is available.
We can hire a permanent or contract engineer ( W-2 )
US Citizen or Permanent Resident only .
- Responsible for the configuration and Security of the internal network as well as external platform security and communication systems
- Execute security programs and delivering security technologies across the board
- Provide technical guidance for IT Infrastructure operations and projects, including hands-on collaboration with team members on best practices, implementation, testing, and problem resolution
- Provide daily administration and support of systems and networking related infrastructure
- Troubleshoot, manage and provision Servers (Windows 2008/2012/2016) in a physical and virtualized environment.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, IPS and all other networking equipment.
- Build scripts, automate administration tasks and Web Application buildouts.
- Support Microsoft SQL Databases.
- Data Backup/Replication.
- Plans and implements upgrades, patches, and installation of new applications, security patches, and equipment.
- Maintain clear and concise technical and process documentation of all systems and processes in scope.
- Manage, and maintain systems/network monitoring solutions, notification, and response.
- Plan, execute and maintain system security initiatives and the reporting of security relevant events.
- Assist with making new software/hardware purchases and lead the deployment new or updated technology.
- Perform infrastructure changes and lead new implementations, including the following:
- Software/hardware changes and upgrades for file servers, application servers, and networking systems.
- Web Servers and custom web applications.
- Network infrastructure over multiple hosting facilities with high availability services and SLAs.
- Implementation and maintenance of virtual servers.
- Support complex network problems or network infrastructure issues and manage the performance and capacity of Infrastructure and applications.
- Troubleshoot system failures quickly to minimize outages or interruptions and provide root cause analysis.
- Utilize Helpdesk Ticketing system to manage issues and assist Desktop Support Administrator when needed.
- Communicate and collaborate with both internal and external technology departments and all end users.
Requirements
- BA or BS in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of IT solutions or business domain experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- 6+ years of Systems Administration experience in a Windows based environment.
- Proficient knowledge and experience working with various technologies including, but not limited to:
- Infrastructure Administration to 99.9% uptime, mission critical operation.
- Microsoft based infrastructure.
- Managing VMware vSphere Environment.
- Managing data Enterprise/SMB backup and protection solutions.
- Providing Network Administration (LAN, WAN, IPSEC-Tunnels, MPLS WAN, EPL WAN). Candidate experience with Cisco Enterprise platform a plus.
- Managing Information security for SMB of 50+ end users.
- MS Active Directory (AD administration, group policy, etc.), Windows Enterprise Server
- SQL 2005-2017, Microsoft IIS.
- Scripting in Powershell and experience with Visual Basic.
- SAN based storage utilizing Enterprise platform (EMC or NetApp a plus).
- Experience in implementing and managing security (users, roles, security groups).
- Extensive experience in industry standard remote access solutions (VPN, SSL VPN, Citrix).
- Telco Experience and VOIP Cloud hosting experience a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and investigative skills. Must enjoy challenges, ask targeted questions, and take an innovative approach to solving problems.
