Job Responsibilities
IT Systems Support ManagerAre you a natural problem solver?

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Establishes and applies standards for hardware & Software application procurement.
  • Complies with all USC procurement requirements.
  • Serves as an advisor for and submits all IT plans within the SATS department of USC and staff approval.
  • Directs the planning, strategic development, and design and operations of IT systems within the division. Supports the coordination & growth of progressive, efficient, and cost-effective Information Technology infrastructure.
  • Manages effective operations and maintenance of systems within the SATS department. Ensures that systems are operating at an optimal level, working closely with DoIT and external vendors.
  • Manages disaster recovery plan and ensures that data is appropriately stored, secured, and always backed up.
  • Monitors performance and provides regular feedback, recognition, and developmental coaching appropriate to the developmental level of individual employees and the associated job tasks so that the employee can perform successfully. Diagnoses and addresses performance issues directly and promptly and does not avoid difficult issues or conversations.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master degree in related field with 3 years of experience. PMP.
Additional Comments
Knowledge of communications or information systems and voice and data networking. Knowledge and technical expertise of network security. Knowledge of various software and their uses. Knowledge of computer system analysis, design, testing, debugging and maintenance techniques and practices. Ability to analyze data and provide solutions to complex problems. Implementer of process improvement initiatives. Good written and oral communication skills.
