TMS has an immediate opening as an IT Support Specialist located at our headquarters in Frederick, MD. IT Support Specialist responsibilities include, but not limited to, IT hardware management and support, Software configuration and support, shipping and logistics, and IT research. Travel will be required to support larger events with special IT needs and emergency support like hurricanes (70%).
We have a small IT team that supports teams of fluctuating sizes. This position will involve a variety of roles and wearing "multiple hats" in the IT world from server or network administration to mobile / laptop / desktop support. We have expertise in house as well as consulting to help with subject matter expertise. We are looking for a dependent, go getter willing to learn about whatever technology needs support.
Position Details:
Overall:
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users on-site as well as remotely
- Work closely with Operations including onsite support
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues as necessary
- Assist with shipping and logistics of IT equipment for events
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, and phones
- Perform other job-related duties when deemed necessary in line with company needs
- Travel to events to provide IT support when needed
- Ability to support emergency deployments with little notice such as hurricanes.

Required Skills and Experience:
- BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent leadership, teamwork, and client service skills
- Motivated, dependent, and organized
- 1-2 years' experience in the IT field
- Ability to travel including international

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
