Peraton is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as an Information Technology Support, Associate to provide technical support on our Cyber Systems Engineering teams to Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in Dam Neck, VA.
You will support the Program Executive Office Unmanned and Small Combatants (PEO) providing cybersecurity engineering support, cybersecurity requirements Software Support Activity support for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) class Environment (TSCE) networks, LCS Afloat Sites for PMS 501 (New Construction), Service), and IWS80 Littoral Combat Ships( LCS).
Responsibilities:
- Work with JIRA.
- Editing and maintianing a KBA library.
- Respond to customer issues and challenges without manager supervision.
- Maintain strong customer service skills when dealing with clients.
- Advise Account Management of client support or reoccurring technical issues.
- Provide end-user technical support to all clients.
- Troubleshoot technical issues assigned by the Service Desk Manager including hardware.
- Perform basic system administrator functions such as network user creation and password resets.
- Escalate issues quickly and efficiently in accordance with Tech Impact SLAs.
- Provide proactive maintenance on client workstations as directed.
- Travel onsite to resolve issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance prior to starting.
- a BS/BA degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- December 2024 grads are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Minimum certification as 541 (or similar as required by the Technical Instruction) at the Basic level per DoDD 8140.01, or successor.
- Strong customer technical support experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, other co-workers, and management.
- Detail oriented.
- Navy Ship Operation exposure.
- Familiarity with windows and linux OS.
- Ability to learn new processes, systems, and technologies as assigned.
