Primary Job Function for Information Technology Specialist
This individual with be tasked with hardware and software support on a number of computer systems but will be primarily focused on maintaining a few medium-sized networks. They will be involved in and/or assisting with various computer, security, and other projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Firewall and switch configuration, deployment, changes, upgrades. (Everything related to the network)
- Network monitoring
- Troubleshoot and/or occasionally repair hardware including but not limited to: PCs, handheld scanners, label printers, switches, access points, security cameras, security doors, and IP phones.
- Troubleshoot basic Windows issues
- Assist in the installation of cat6 cable from data closets to new endpoints
- Occasionally set up PCs for new users
- Assist in managing company cell phones
- Provide support to on-site and remote users.
- Assist users with various technology related tasks

We are searching for a candidate who is adept at learning with outstanding problem-solving skills. The individual will be given opportunities to work on tasks not normally associated with a Network Administrator role. At times, you'll be involved in tasks that would be considered "Operations Technology" such as setting up a PC as a Human Machine Interface. We are looking for candidates that we believe can grow with our IT department.

- Expert with any virtual server platform

- Strong understanding of Windows desktop operating systems
- Exposure to Windows Server operating systems
- Knowledge of PC hardware components
- Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and administration
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Solid critical thinking, problem solving and troubleshooting skill-set
- Capacity to maintain a positive, professional and friendly attitude
- Capability to work independently or with little supervision
- Strong time management skills
- Knowledge on low voltage systems and wiring procedures is a plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Job Type: Contracted to Full Time based on performance and experience.

- Active Directory: 5 year (Required)

- Knowledge of GSuite (Optional)
- Understanding of computer networking concepts and protocols (Required)
