Information Security Engineer

A consumer products company in Florida has a great mid-level position awaiting a new Information Security Engineer at their Orlando-based location.
***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least one day a week.***
Responsibilities:
The Information Security Engineer will:

• Maintain anti-malware, endpoint security, email security, web security, DLP, and network security
• Manage, and review security logs and alerts to identify potential security incidents
• Conduct thorough analysis of logs and alerts to understand threat nature
• Regularly conduct security audits, evaluate effectiveness of security controls, and identify areas for improvement
• Maintain the security awareness training solution by educating staff on security best practices and potential threatsConduct regular vulnerability assessments and implementing measures to address identified vulnerabilities, including performing penetration testing

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of IT experience
• Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• One of the following certifications and/or equivalent: Microsoft Certifications, Microsoft 365 Certifications, Security +, or similar industry certifications

Desired Skills:

• Expertise in email security, web security, DLP, and network security tools
• Experience working with vulnerability management solutions
• Experience working with on-premise active directory and group policies
• Proficient in scripting languages (such as PowerShell and Python) for automation
• Solid understanding of OSI layers, TCP/IP, subnets, and VLANs
• Possess knowledge of SSO, identity, and privilege management solutions
