About the role:
We are seeking an Information Security Associateto join our team, providing comprehensive support for a diverse range of Information Security and information technology functions across our companies (Newforma, EleVia, & BIM One). In this role, you will work under the Information Security Manager and collaborate with a small team of IT engineers to ensure secure operations of the company's technology infrastructure and facilitate the implementation of new systems and services.
The ideal candidate for the Information Security Associate position will possess knowledge in computer systems, security systems, cloud services, and network architecture. They should have a strong technical background and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Moreover, the candidate should have relevant experience in Information Security, systems management, and familiarity with on-premises, and hybrid environments.
Responsibilities Include
- Providing end-user support with security systems: Investigating and resolving security related tickets, proactively identifying recurring patterns, and implementing corrective actions to address root causes.
- Managing user access controls and security groups: Administering Active Directory and AAD user account permissions, group policies, and related tasks.
- Administering security systems: CrowdStrike, Mimecast, Bitwarden, and all Microsoft Security Products.
- Managing networks: Administering firewalls, end-use and site to site VPN.
- Deploying and supporting MDM systems.
- Administering cloud security in Azure and AWS environments.
- Performing security and risk assessments on new products.
- Managing SSL and code-signing certificates.
- Reviewing and deploying updates: Reviewing, testing, and deploying updates using Microsoft WSUS and Intune.
- Identifying system needs and reporting: Identifying the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and reporting them to management.
- Collaborating with global teams: Working in conjunction with global teams to develop and implement secure software deployments and updates.
- Enforcing security procedures and controls: Developing and enforcing security procedures and controls across the global network.
- Supporting ongoing security and network initiatives: Developing, implementing and supporting ongoing security, network, and other initiatives.
Requirements for the position include:
- Strong problem-solving skills and a meticulous approach to test completion.
- Passion for continuous improvement in technology solutions.
- Knowledge of Windows platforms, both on-premises and in the cloud.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with key individuals.
- Proven ability to interact with end-users and effectively identify and resolve technical issues.
- Strong understanding of security practices regarding network switching, routing, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Cloud products, including AAD, Intune, Defender, Power Platforms, SharePoint, and Conditional Access
Nice to have (not required, but may help):
- Security focused certifications or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with enterprise networks.
- Familiarity with Cloud services, such as Azure and AWS.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Experience with Newforma enterprise, mobile, and cloud products.
