The Informatics Specialist (RN) will join the Informatics division of Float Health. Core daily tasks include facilitating the intake and organization of protected health information from our pharmacy partners, sending home care visit details to Float nurses, and completing Plan of Treatment documentation.
These duties involve file organization, database management, data entry, template management, and writing. The Informatics Specialist (RN) will have frequent communication with our pharmacy partners and Float nurses, as well as within and across teams at Float Health. The Informatics Specialist (RN) must have strong oral and written communication skills and is expected to demonstrate Float Health's commitment to exceptional customer service, friendliness, efficiency, and teamwork in all interactions.
The Informatics Specialist (RN) will be required to balance and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced remote environment, so must be efficient, detail-oriented, reliable, and thorough. In addition to completing core daily tasks, the Informatics Specialist (RN) is expected to engage in continuous quality improvement, risk management, and innovation for Float Health. The Informatics Specialist (RN) will plan, develop, evaluate, and maintain system improvements and should bring a critical and creative eye to all tasks.
The Informatics Specialist (RN) must be flexible in an ever-changing work environment and be open to an evolving role as Float's operational and technological systems continue to grow.
Core Responsibilities:
- Uses clinical nursing expertise to maintain, evaluate, interpret, solicit, and organize all clinical documentation required for Float nursing visits
- Efficiently produces accurate and complete nurse visit detail communications
- Completes Plan of Treatment documents and associated clinical paperwork with accuracy and efficiency
- Assures accurate and thorough recordkeeping for all Informatics activities, including database management and data entry
- Analyzes, evaluates, and conceptualizes improvements to clinical informatics processes and systems, including nurse clinical documentation, protected health information handling, and pharmacy referral processes
- Prioritizes tasks and manages multiple simultaneous projects and duties effectively
- Uses clinical judgment and sound decision making to address complex issues and uncertainties as they arise
- Routinely and proactively solves problems and independently seeks solutions
- Appropriately seeks advice or a second opinion when needed
- Maintains clear, timely, and friendly communication with Float nurses and pharmacy partners
- Collaborates and communicates with all Float team members in a respectful manner
- Integrates the big picture of Float Health's goals and values in all work and engages in continuous quality improvement, risk management, and innovation
Hours:
- Monday-Friday 11:30am-7:30pm PT (40h per week)
- Weekend on-call coverage in rotation with other team members
Float Health's business operations take place in Pacific Standard time (California). Initial position will be a 2-month contract but is intended to progress to a permanent W-2 role.

Pay: $83,200.00 - $93,600.00 per year
