The Infection Preventionist/Quality Liaison is responsible for the facility Infection Prevention and Control program and its organization, implementation, monitoring and auditing as well as coordination of Quality improvement processes directly related to these efforts. This position is also responsible for the quarterly, annual and overall reporting to essential Federal and State agencies and executing annual training related to all aspects of the plan and related topics. This position also participates as a liaison in the quality processes for all individuated resident assessment and safety conditions relevant to quality care.
Qualifications

• Requires license and current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania. BSN preferred. Completion of specialized training in Infection Prevention and Control required.
• The Infection Preventionist must have primary professional training in one of the following: nursing, epidemiology, microbiology, medical technology or a related field.
• Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and ensure that the facility leaders are informed of appropriate issues; understand and comply with infection control, safety, and OSHA procedures and regulations.
• Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
