Job Overview
We are seeking an applicant who is kind, nurturing, and who comes to work with an upbeat and positive attitude. The position is for an aide position in our Infant age group. The aide will play a crucial role in supporting our childcare center's daily operations by assisting our infant rooms and teachers as needed. This position offers a consistent opportunity to work with children 6 weeks-18 months, fostering their development and ensuring a positive learning environment. You do not need previous childcare experience for this role. We will provide orientation and on-the-job training, along with ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assist teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Support children's learning and development through engaging play and interaction.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their well-being at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Provide support during meal times, nap times, and other daily routines.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to ensure smooth transitions between activities and classrooms.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Passion for working with children and a genuine interest in their growth and development.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Applicant must be available between the hours of 6:30am-6pm Monday-Friday, but position will be 9-hour days with one hour lunch breaks.
