Starting Rate:$29.18/hour (or more based on experience) + $1.50 shift/$1.60 weekend differential

RHI Magnesita is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician in York, PA. Our Industrial Maintenance Technician will provide preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, and expert equipment improvements for our fast-paced refractory brick operation.
The Industrial Maintenance Technician's tasks will include:
- Keeping safety as a top priority.
- Safely and efficiently, troubleshoot, repair, and performing preventative maintenance, on all equipment, Electrically and Mechanically in the Refractories Plants. (Hydraulic Presses, Conveyors, Mixing machines, Crushers, Kilns and Robots, etc.)
- Quickly assess plant processes to identify problems and improvements; ability to communicate with equipment operators and then apply troubleshooting skills and knowledge to fix equipment in an efficient amount of time. Will troubleshoot for both electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Demonstrating an aptitude of mechanical systems including Gearbox, Power Transmission, Bearings, Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
- Support Robotic Work Cells.
- Testing electrical systems; (ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC 3-ph) by using multi-meters, megohmmeters, and PLC's.
- Troubleshooting Programable Logic and Relay Logic Controlled, systems by using required 70E PPE and safe work practices.
- Participating in the improvements of plant equipment to maximize productivity and assist with cost effective savings.
About you
- Must be at least 18 years of age; attained a High School Diploma or GED; and strongly prefer training with electromechanical principles from an accredited institution or on the job training from another employer.
- Working in a heavy industrial environment where the assigned duties are in a fast-paced work environment that will be inside or outside in hot, cold, inclement weather, working at heights, confined spaces, and dirty environments.
- Possess strong electrical, mechanical and analytical aptitude; understand and troubleshoot ladder logic programs.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and have performed installation, maintenance, or general repairs on this type of equipment in an industrial environment.
- Equipment repair experience (gearbox, power transmission, conveyors, and bearings) is required.
- PLC and Electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Prior experience welding (Stick and Mig).
- Self-starters who can work independently without direct supervision.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
