Job Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and machinery to ensure they are in proper working order.
• Troubleshoot equipment and machinery using tools such as a voltmeter, current meter, and other testing devices to diagnose issues and repair as needed.
• Periodic cleaning of equipment after use, adjusting parts, and lubricating moving components as needed to ensure proper, efficient function.
• Carry out predictive and preventative maintenance tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for signs of excessive wear, defects, and damage.
• Record all maintenance and repair services performed and keep track of all time, materials, and parts used.
• Request orders for materials and parts when inventory is low or depleted.
• Maintain and troubleshoot issues on various brands of electrical and LP forklift trucks.

Preferred Job Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance on a regular basis
• Ability to learn through on-the-job training
• Ability to read ladder logic and connect to PLC
• Read and understand manufacturer manuals and schematics when operating, setting up, or working on newly acquired machinery.
• Welding, light fabricating, and light machining with a manual mill and or lathe
• Understanding of electrical control systems, three phase power systems, and tools used to troubleshoot electrical problems i.e. voltmeter, current meter, etc.
• Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
