Industrial Maintenance Technician 2 Or 3

Essential Job Functions

1. Strict adherence to established Health and Safety policies is mandatory.
2. Execute preventative maintenance activities.
3. Must possess knowledge/ability to repair the following systems:
   1. Drive systems (bearing installation, pulley alignment, belt installation & tracking).
   2. Mechanical (Understand machine mechanical drawings).
   3. Pneumatic systems (valves, cylinders, actuators, filters).
   4. Electrical (motor control, temperature controls, VFDs, read electrical drawings).
4. Manage multiple priorities with a willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.
5. Work with Production & Engineering to increase equipment & line efficiency
6. Fabrication or Assembly skills needed as we build or modify much of our equipment.
7. Refine troubleshooting skills and methods—reduce/eliminate recurring problems.
8. Strong research ability—use computers/equipment manuals to diagnose/order components.
9. Other duties as directed by management.

Maintenance Mechanic 2 MM2

Intermediate level: The employee performs a full range of maintenance mechanic duties including but not limited to maintenance focusing on problem solving issues, troubleshooting mechanical problems, set-up equipment, make repairs, preventative maintenance and uses considerable independent judgment to interpret and apply work guidelines with considerable latitude to specific situations. MM2 may have the responsibility to mentor and train the lower-level maintenance mechanic positions and provide supervision on various duties. Experience of 5 years or more of work as a maintenance mechanic.

Maintenance Mechanic 3 MM3

Advanced level: The employee has all skills required to perform a full range of maintenance mechanic duties including but not limited to maintenance focusing on problem solving issues, troubleshooting mechanical problems, set-up equipment, make repairs, predictive and preventative maintenance and uses considerable independent judgment to interpret and apply work guidelines with considerable latitude to specific situations. MM3 may have the responsibility to mentor and train the lower level maintenance mechanics positions and provide supervision on various duties. Experience of 10 years or more of work as a maintenance mechanic.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of a High School diploma required a Post high-school education preferred.
2. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
3. Professional communication coupled with sound decision-making skills.
4. Basic fabricating skills to include MIG welding.
5. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of suppliers, customers or employees of organization.
6. Basic math & measuring skills required.
7. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
