Industrial Maintenance Senior Lead - 2Nd Shift

Job Description

Atlas Molded Products is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Lead for the Byron Center, MI facility.

 

Industrial Maintenance Lead Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure that all new and existing equipment or machinery is operating properly.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to identify root cause.
• Rebuild and reseal components as needed to ensure functionality.
• Assist in any repairs that may be needed to the buildings or grounds.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all machinery.
• Assist with manufacturing and installation of new equipment as needed.
• Properly document maintenance performed so that accurate records can be kept.
• Create and distribute end-of-shift emails describing, in detail, the events of your shift
• Distribute and coordinate tasks with other members of your shift
• Administer employee performance evaluations for your shift
• Estimate time or cost for installation, repair or construction projects
• Use/demonstrate knowledge of fluid mechanics
• Install/connect electrical equipment to power circuit
• Develop maintenance schedules

Industrial Maintenance Lead Experience

• Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.
• Experience with maintenance/mechanical systems preferred.
• Prior leadership experience preferred

Industrial Maintenance Lead Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must be able to use simple math, count and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Must have general understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
• Able to properly size electrical wire and fuses
• Control and maintain access into computer-controlled machinery
• Calibrate or adjust electronic equipment or instruments to specification
• Install or replace electrical or electronic meters, regulators or related measuring or control devices
• Test electronic or electrical circuits and connections
• Identify HVAC control equipment
• Calibrate or adjust electronic equipment or instruments to specification and steam counters on all molds
• Use/demonstrate knowledge of fluid mechanics
• Analyze technical data, designs or preliminary specifications
• Install electronic power, communication, control or security equipment systems
• Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions
• Troubleshooting skills using a variety of PLC software
• Make changes and additions to ladder logic using a variety of PLC software
• Update controls on existing equipment (may require the use of PLC)
• Support new product developments while working with engineering

Industrial Maintenance Lead Education, Licenses & Certifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Master/Journeyman electrician’s license (State of Michigan) and/or
• Master/Journeyman machine repair and/or
• Formal training or technical degree in industrial automation

Industrial Maintenance Lead Additional Information

• Moderate to heavy physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling.
