Position Summary
- Entry level maintenance position which allows the incumbent to perform on the job training while attending full time course study in Industrial System Technology or Electrical System Technology at local technical college.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Observes the operations of equipment troubleshooting problems, makes adjustments and minor repairs, if necessary, under the direction and support of a skilled technician.
- Performs basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
- Maintains 5S compliant work areas.
- Understand and comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Basic English language competency.
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Must currently be enrolled and attending Tech School under an approved program. Approval must be obtained by HR and Maintenance Manager.
- Must certify and maintain valid certification on all powered industrial vehicles and overhead crane operations for the facility. Certifications must be achieved within 60 days of position start.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Basic understanding of Preventative Maintenance techniques and process
- Basic understanding of troubleshooting mechanical systems

Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member must have the ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions, stand for the duration of the shift (up to 8 hours), uses hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; ascend stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. In addition, the team member must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
