We're hiring an Industrial Hygienist/EHS Consultant to build and implement safety standards through analyses, field data acquisition, and risk identification within R&D labs. You'll help improve lab safety, assess industrial hygiene concerns, collect samples/data, and apply safety metrics in e-commerce lab environments.
Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 (dependent on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Assist R&D laboratories with industrial hygiene, machine guarding, ergonomics, and chemical inventory
- Assist with sampling, measuring, and quantifying employee exposures across diverse industries, including e-commerce, R&D, and manufacturing
- Assist with laboratory, electrical, robotic, and laser safety
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with lab managers and engineers
- Learn and implement federal, state, and local regulations for environmental compliance and participate in safety programs
- Review standard operating procedures and initiate training development
- Actively pursue personal career growth through continuing education, obtaining professional accreditations, and participating in discipline-specific networking opportunities

- Work with the brightest, most creative in the industry with a leading national Environmental Consulting firm
- B.S./M.S. degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Toxicology, or a similar field
- 2 to 4 years of applicable consulting or IH-related experience is preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and a clean criminal record
- Willing and able to travel throughout the Greater Seattle Area
- Experience in Manufacturing, Technology, chemical and/or R&D Lab Setting
- The following accreditations are preferred, but not required:
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER
- Certified Safety Professional
- Other specific Industrial Hygiene training
- Environmental Health and Safety training
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements established for Washington, Federal and Industry Standards
