Job description:
We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our team and help us monitor our current operations to ensure our organization is as efficient as possible. Industrial Engineer responsibilities include ensuring products meet established safety and quality standards while reducing inefficiency. Operations workflows and processes will be analysed to eliminate time and manpower waste while still meeting customer needs. Ultimately, you will work with organizational leaders, engineers, and technicians to maximize productivity and reduce wastefulness in the operations support process.
Responsibilities
- Become familiar with the local preventative maintenance processes and programs.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and leadership to determine priorities for work evaluation and improvement.
- Accomplish procedure review, including in-field monitoring and analysis. Utilize lean principles to optimize procedures while maintaining high standards in safety and quality.
- Provide updated labour requirements and duration for procedures.
- Assist engineers with procedure and program updates to incorporate approved changes.
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as an Industrial Engineer or similar role
- Advanced knowledge of machinery, processes and standards
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation abilities
Minimum Educational Requirement
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or other engineering field with experience in process optimization.
