Mechanical Engineer DESCRIPTION:
This engineering professional reports to the Process Engineering Manager and is responsible for continuous improvement projects (CIP), reduction of cost of poor quality (COPQ) and other manufacturing/mechanical projects. Position will interact with other engineering groups and the quality department.

Mechanical Engineer ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Effectively coordinates/leads Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement projects.
- Reduction of COPQ by planning, managing, and executing the DMAIC process.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding status of corrective action implementation.
- Work on cross functional teams for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Construct Manufacturing and Assembly drawings using Solid Works CAD drawing system.
- Conceptualize and create design adaptations for shop aids, fixtures, and support tools.
- Support shop production to facilitate and deploy best known methods and improvements.
Mechanical Engineer EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- BSE in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
- (3) years minimum of engineering/process experience
- Strongly desire semiconductor industry experience
- Six Sigma belt is a plus.
- Experience leading DMAIC process.
- Knowledge of PFMEA is a plus.
- Experience in SolidWorks software desired.
