Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Assist the company new product development and production efforts by providing engineering, manufacturing, technical feasibility and product excellent solutions.
- Coordinate with the Dept Industrial Designers to facilitate with the engineering and industrial production of the company new items while providing innovative solutions.
- Communicate with the Category Managers regarding new Product Engineering and Production.
- Help create and update department technical procedures and standards.
- Assist the company suppliers with the engineering and industrial processes required for new products production.
- Assist the Senior Product Production Manager communicating with the Product Management and Procurement Dept in obtaining new items quotations, and determined efficient and correct ways of the ideal manufacturing process, maintaining the NPD efforts on time, on spec and on cost.
- Assist and participate in the Industrial Design Dept VAVE efforts for new and existing items.
- Manage and keep updated the company Product Production by using product boards such as Centric and Jira.
- Be available to attend presential and virtual trade shows upon request.
- Help manage and maintain the company 2D and 3D Product Designs database.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD 2D and 3D software.
- Strong Engineering skills and Plastics knowledge
- Materials and manufacturing processes knowledge
- Good verbal/written communication skills
- Proactive project ownership and team organization
- Attention to timelines
- Team player
Expectations:
In addition to a compassionate and reliable disposition, the Design Engineer is expected to maintain a positive pro-active project ownership and a professional attitude at all times.
Salary Range:
$70,000 to $75,000 dependent on experience
