We are seeking an Industrial Engineer who will contribute to the industrial processes, utilizing both mechanical and electrical engineering skills to drive continuous improvement. You could expect to optimize processes and systems to maximize efficiency, productivity, and quality while minimizing waste, time, and cost.
Responsibilities:
- Streamlining workflows and operations to enhance productivity and efficiency. This involves analyzing current processes, identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implementing improvements.
- Design, evaluate, and enhance mechanical systems within the industrial setting, including machinery, equipment, and tools, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Apply electrical engineering principles to maintain, upgrade, or design electrical systems within the manufacturing environment, including control systems, power distribution, and automation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to implement engineering solutions and address operational challenges.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to gather and analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency.
- Lead or contribute to engineering projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols, implementing measures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Troubleshoots Pneumatics Circuits, electronics; mechanical devices on robots, and other equipment when needed.
- Designs End-of-Arm tooling for Injection Molding Presses, as well as equipment for Automation Systems.
- Choosing appropriate materials based on their properties and suitability for the intended application, considering factors like strength, durability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact.
- Designing components or systems that are easy to manufacture, assemble, and maintain. Considering ease of assembly and disassembly can impact production efficiency.
- Overseeing the application of hot stamp foils, including understanding the material properties, application methods, and equipment needed for efficient and effective stamping processes.
- Implement and optimize vision systems within manufacturing processes for quality control, inspection, and automation. This involves selecting appropriate hardware, software, and integrating these systems seamlessly into production lines.
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience 5 plus years in Industrial Engineering roles with a strong focus on both mechanical and electrical engineering aspects
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or Solid Works to create detailed models and blueprints of mechanical components or systems.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and control systems.
- Collaborating with product designers and teams to create products that are both functional and efficient in manufacturing. This involves understanding materials, production methods, and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in various vision system technologies such as cameras, sensors, image processing, and machine learning algorithms used in quality control and automation.
