We are seeking an Industrial Electrical Controls Engineer with 2 or more years of experience, for a REMOTE POSITION, with the duties and requirements listed:
SUMMARY:
Develop or redesign ELECTRICAL CONTROLS for new or existing company products. Individuals in this position work from order requirements or other specifications and arrive at final control circuitry and program logic utilizing software and engineering calculations as required. This person shall be comfortable supporting manufacturing processes on the production floor. As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be addressing production issues alongside quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
KEY DUTIES:
Design new electrical control systems and improve existing systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings / electrical schematics.
- Write PLC, and HMI programs using Allen Bradley Logix & Siemens Simatic Step 7 and other software.
- Create Sequence of Operations, Control Schematics, and Control Panel layout drawings using CAD software for use in customer drawings and manufacturing.
- Create bills of material for use in cost estimates and manufacturing.
- Create owner’s manuals, test procedures, and other engineering deliverables as required.
- Provide technical support to shop personnel during manufacturing
- Provide field support of Company products as required.
- Ability to manage deadline-driven workload and work on multiple projects.
- Some travel may be involved.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70, National Electric Code, and NFPA 79, Electrical
Standard for Industrial Machinery
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical control circuits
- Proficient with AutoCAD
- Proficient in the use of all common computer Microsoft Office software applications, including Outlook
- General working and programming knowledge of PLC, HMI and VFD’s. Allen
Bradley Logix & Siemens Simatic Step 7 experience a strong plus.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Some domestic and/or international travel may be involved.

- Ability to program variable frequency drives and controllers.
- Knowledge of IEC, CEC, & DIN.
- Ability to work with sensor & power module technologies, failure mode analysis, & manufacturing solutions.
- Ability to read and develop control loop drawings, P&IDs, & electrical schematics.
Salary range: $85,000 and up depending on experience and management skills.
