Independent Property Inspector (Remote)

About the Position

Our Independent Property Inspector conducts homeowner insurance inspections on behalf of several insurance carriers. The Independent Property Inspector contacts the insured; schedules appointments, when necessary; inspects the property; completes the survey; and submits the form for review by the insurance underwriter.

Our inspectors are not required to have previous experience or credentials, although, we offer training opportunities and resources to teach the skills required to effectively perform duties and responsibilities.

Our team is currently operating in Cleveland, Akron, and Columbus including surrounding areas outside these metropolitan areas.

Preferred Candidates

• Great opportunity for someone with interest or experience in photography, construction, architecture, engineering, home inspections, real estate or other related areas.
• Available to work flexible hours Monday-Saturday between 8am-8pm for at least 8-12hrs/week or 40hrs/month

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance
• Able to complete and pay for background check (Approx. $70)
• Mobile phone capable of taking clear pictures and location tagging
• Ability to learn how to recognize property hazards and existing conditions
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Notify insured before performing inspection on property and schedule inspection appointments as needed.
• Capture interior and exterior pictures of insured properties and occasional auto claims.
• Complete required survey for respective insurance carriers
• Use an easy-to-use CAD software to sketch a drawing of inspected property (Only for a select group of insurance carriers)

Compensation

• Compensation is based on the number of inspections completed for the month worked.
• Paid monthly for work completed in the previous month
• We offer inspectors 70% of the revenue earned from the inspections they have completed.
