Job Overview:
Dodge Group is seeking highly motivated independent sales agents to join our dynamic team where you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the transportation and logistics industry. As a sales agent, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with clients, negotiating sales and ensuring the efficient movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate effective freight solutions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's client base and revenue streams.
- Negotiate favorable freight rates and terms with carriers while ensuring cost-effective and timely transportation services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate and optimize logistics operations, ensuring smooth and efficient freight movements.
- Stay updated on industry events, market conditions and regulatory changes to provide informed recommendations and solutions.
-Actively participate in industry events, networking opportunities and trade shows to enhance business relationships and stay informed about market dynamics.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the shipping process.
Requirements:
- Two years in active truck brokerage (required) import/export operation experience (preferred)
- Strong understanding of the truck brokerage market
- Experience in both LTL and full truck load sales
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable rates and contracts
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work well as a team member in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in using and navigating TMS systems is a plus
