The Opportunity
We are seeking an Incident Management Engineer (IME) to become an integral part of CDK Global’s commitment to service excellence. As an IME at CDK Global, you will be the linchpin of stability and reliability within our software ecosystem. Your role is critical in ensuring that our solutions operate seamlessly, and when issues arise, you are the front line of response, resolution, and prevention.
As a proactive problem-solver, you will work within a virtualized team tasked with managing critical system outages. Your communication and collaborative skills will be key in a high-stakes environment where rapid response and effective resolution are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
Gain in-depth knowledge of CDK Global’s automotive software and its deployment within the customer ecosystem.
Work cross-functionally with client-facing, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver and maintain scalable and reliable software solutions.
Swiftly diagnose and resolve issues that arise in the field while driving preventative measures.
Streamline and improve incident response through knowledge, processes, and automation.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, leading CDK Global’s response to critical incidents with a focus on minimizing customer disruption.
Drive post-incident activities, including conducting Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and overseeing remediation follow-ups to prevent future occurrences.

Familiarity with scripting, automation, or data analysis is advantageous.
A broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure, three-tier applications, microservices, and networking.
The ability to establish and strengthen relationships with teams to streamline troubleshooting, context building, and communications.
Requirements
A technical background in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
6-10 years of experience in application support
Experience in operations at a SaaS provider is a plus
Salary: $80K - $115K + Bonus
