The In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority is recruiting IHSS Caregivers throughout Santa Barbara County to be a part of our IHSS Provider Registry.
Our Agency focuses on finding Caregivers for seniors and disabled adults who have been approved for In-Home Supportive Services’ (IHSS) benefits. Our goal is to help individuals remain safely in the comfort of their homes versus a care facility or nursing home.
As an IHSS Registry Provider (Caregiver), you will be referred out to recipients of the IHSS program.
The following are some of the daily activities IHSS Providers (caregivers) may provide to IHSS recipients (clients). The activities vary depending on each client’s needs and require IHSS pre-approval:
- Grooming, bathing and dressing
- Bowel care
- Bladder care
- Housecleaning
- Shopping
- Laundry
- Meal preparation
- Medical appointment
Requirements:
- No experience required
- Bilingual Preferred but not required.
- Verifiable professional references.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Driver's license OR Government-issued identification (required)
- Social Security Card (required)
- Punctual and reliable
