Overview:
Position Summary: The Patient Services Rep I provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, and patient check-in/out procedures, collection of patient co-pay or deductibles, scheduling and verifying patient appointments. Checking in/registering patients for Radiology outpatient visits in both Duque and Anderson Pavilion locations. Answering phones and directing phone calls. Placing patient in patient tracking system, verifying insurance eligibility, demographics, capturing any relevant data to enter into STAR, activate order in KIDs, help create accounts for the financial counselors, provide excellent, friendly customer service to patients and families.
Minimum Qualifications: 1-year experience in medical front office setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Excellent telephone manner and ability to deal effectively with the public. Basic knowledge of computers, filing and organizational skills.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: High school diploma or GED required.

Schedule:
Sunday OFF
Monday 6:30am-3:00pm
Tuesday 8:30am-5:00pm
Wednesday 11:30am-8:00pm
Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm
Friday OFF
Saturday 6:30am-3:00pm
Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
