Responsibilities:
Booking and Scheduling:
- Coordinate bookings with ocean carriers and negotiate freight rates to optimize cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor vessel schedules and proactively address any deviations or delays.
Rate Negotiation:
- Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to ensure competitive pricing and cost efficiency.
Coordinate Export Shipments:
- Plan and organize the export of goods via ocean freight, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations.
- Collaborate with clients, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth export processes
Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade requirements for various countries.
Inside Sales
- Identify prospects, lead generation and conversion.
- Contact new and existing prospects to discuss opportunities.
Communication and Customer Service:
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries related to export shipments.
- Communicate with overseas agents, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to coordinate shipments effectively.
Track and Monitor Shipments:
- Utilize tracking systems to monitor the movement of shipments and provide regular updates to customers.
- Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
Problem Resolution:
- Proactively identify and address any challenges in the export process, finding timely and effective solutions to ensure on-time delivery.
Education and Experience:
- Must have 3-4 years experience as a Import/Export Coordinator
- Experience in freight forwarding Ocean operations processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and import procedures.
- Experience of bonded freight and cargo.
- Prior experience working with logistics software and tracking systems.
- In-depth knowledge of export and import operations, including documentation and preparation of bills of lading/delivery orders.
- Billingual ( Spanish)
- Previous experience in freight handling or logistics is preferred
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems and logistics software Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail-Proficiency in using CRM and TMS software and other relevant tools
- Proven ability to negotiate rates and build customer relationships
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Work authorization/security clearance requirements: Must be eligible to work in the United States; Must pass TSA eligibility screening.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
