Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Execute and update import files to capture shipment bookings, ISF filing, Customs clearances, Customs responses, availability of final deliveries, event tracking, duty statements, and financial records
- Data entry on Automated Broker’s Interface software to clear shipments with U.S. Customs in a timely manner
- Organize import files to comply with department procedure, Leviton record retention policy and Customs regulations
- Liaise with multiple levels of business partners to track KPI and to support Leviton's business requirements
- Provide shipment status and visibility utilizing Cargoes Flow
- Communicate and coordinate with overseas agents, trucking companies, warehouses, terminals, customs brokers, and all business partners and suppliers to service various levels and functions across the organization and its subsidiaries to provide up-to-date shipment status.
- Proficient with databases – queries, joins and data management methods.
- Must be able to work in a team setting and interact with multiple levels and functions within the organization and business partners.
- Ability to communicate, write and read in the English language.
- General familiarity with international shipping documents (commercial invoice, packing lists, house bill of ladings, master bill of ladings), U.S. Customs forms and General Rules of Interpretation for HTS determination.
- Minimum of High School Diploma required
- 2 years college degree preferred.
- Minimum 6 months of Logistics experience required
- Minimum 6 months of experience working with web portals and web-based report writers
