Objective
The mission of the Varis Implementation Consultant, Lead is to ensure that systems meet clients' technical and operational needs. We customize systems according to clients' needs and specifications, teach clients how to use the software, and install customized systems and operate it in their own ecosystem. This is a highly sophisticated role that requires strong diplomacy, business acumen, the ability to learn systems/software operations, and communicate effectively in a matrixed environment.
The Varis Implementation Consultant, Lead is the most critical role in integrating new customer to the Varis procurement ecosystems and maintaining customer satisfaction. You will manage the various implementation plan components, direct traffic of internal and external communications as well as resolve customer requests. You will also work cross-functionally within the organization to keep project deadlines on point.
Your Responsibilities:
- Be the subject matter expert on the Varis Platform, which includes understanding of all configuration options, integration touch points, and areas for safe customizations.
- Understand the system process needs of different customer types and align with the capabilities of Varis.
- Host configuration discovery sessions and document the customer's requirements.
- Maintain customer-specific versions of major deliverables.
- Configure each customer site to properly leverage the platform to meet their requirements.
- Guide customers though system testing and acceptance.
- Provide integration support across all phases of the implementation - design, build, and test.
- Collaborate with the Product Management Team to communicate customer-requested enhancement requests.
- Assist the Varis sales teams to help answer functionality questions and formulate initial solution design.
- Establish credibility with customer leadership from technical and business departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Graduate degree is an asset.
- 5 years of relevant experience that can include implementation, business analyst, training, customer success.
- 2+ years software implementation experience in either SaaS Software or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) industry is an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of B2B SaaS solutions including system integrations and reporting/analytics.
- Domain Knowledge of B2B P2P Procurement such as SAP/Ariba, Coupa, iValua, Oracle/PeopleSoft. As an alternative, candidate may have experience working with ERP systems.
- Extensive experience applying consultative discovery as well as serving as a technical subject matter expert.
- Ability to maintain confidence, confidentially, and composure during difficult and/or complex situations.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced deadline environment while successfully managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work, influence, problem solve, and engage with all levels of the organization
