Immediate Opening: Personal Care Assistant For Students With Severe Behaviors

Position:Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Location: Scranton, PA
Pay: $21.75 per hour
Hours: 32-35 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP End Date: June 14, 2024

Job Description/Duties:

• PCAs work 1:1 with a student with special needs, as specified in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
• Caseload may include Students with Autism, Multiple Disabilities, and Emotional Support needs.
• Some students may exhibit Severe Behaviors such as hitting, biting, spitting, and running.
• Duties may involve toileting, diapering, and lifting. Candidates should be fortable with these tasks as there are no exceptions or acmodations.

Qualifications:

• Must have proof of a High School Diploma or higher education.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required. Resources may be available to help you obtain these certifications.
• Candidates must pass a drug screen.

Hiring Process:

• If offered the position, you will have 2 weeks from the day of your acceptance to plete the necessary credentialing. This includes meeting state and pany requirements.
• You will not start your assignment until you are 100% credentialed.
