Form of work POSITION: Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Temporary (Full-time/no benefits for new hire)LOCATION: Butler Elementary School
(Location Subject to Change) AVAILABLE: 1/2/2024-4/19/2024 COMPENSATION: $18.25* p/hr HOURS: Full-time/10-months/Student days only
Exact hours TBD DESCRIPTION: Duties include working one-to-one with a student with autism/emotional and behavioral needs/intellectual disability/medical needs/physical needs/academic needs/organizational and impulsivity needs, in the classroom, specials, lunch and recess. Assist student with daily activities, both academic and social.
*If student toileting is required, additional $1.25 per hour will be added to base pay.
Employment contingent upon Personal Care services being required for the student's individualized educational program.
Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD.
REQUIREMENTS: Must work as a team member, exercise good judgment, prioritize tasks,
effectively communicate with both students and adults and be a positive role model for students. PROCEDURE:Apply through the CBSD Employment Portal on or before April 12, 2024* . EOE
