Promote and restore patient health by delivering individualized care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
Performs tasks like: Establishing a compassionate environment acknowledging and attending to physiological and psychological needs; Closely monitoring status of patient under his/her care; Observing patient, recording significant conditions and reactions, and notifying healthcare team as needed of patient’s condition; and Educating patient on procedures and treatments to gain cooperation, understanding and allay apprehension.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State of Indiana
- One (1) or more years hospital staff nursing experience
- Recent experience in ICU
- Telemetry certified
- Current Healthcare BLS and ACLS certification
HIGHLY PREFERRED:
- Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN)
- Two (2) or more years hospital staff nursing experience
- TB and IV certification (or willing to obtain within department guidelines)
