BlueWater Federal is looking for an IA Network Engineer to support U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) Headquarters (HQ).
Responsibilities
- Provide analysis and guidance for application architectural enhancements including but not limited to: Cybersecurity compliance, high availability, scalability, capacity planning, network design, cable plant and IP management.
- Provide support to maintain the system, network and application security integrity including development, management and updating the Certification and Accreditation requirements to include the execution and recording results of applicable test and verification requirements.
- Apply Defense in Depth methodologies to the hardening of all associated networks and systems. In depth knowledge of the Defense Information Systems Agency published STIG processes and procedures is essential.
- Support all CND compliance.
- Assist in developing point papers, naval messages, presentations, briefings and other forms of written documentation on an as needed basis to support A&A and Cybersecurity functions.
- Develop SOPs, checklists, workflow process charts, forms, POC lists, and other documentation needed to support A&A processes and related Cybersecurity functions.
- Compile and analyze data and develop a monthly Dashboard for USFF leadership review for A&A and Cybersecurity readiness and compliance.
- Develop POAMs and risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, computer science, cybersecurity or other related field and no experience, or AA/AS in field and 2 years of related experience.
- Must have an active Secret clearance
- 6+ years of experience. In lieu of formal education, 8 years of experience specifically related to the below qualification requirements
- Knowledge of the configuration, management, administration, and design of the USFF NMCI MOC COI SDP networks.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of the Defense Information Systems Agency published STIG requirements and implementation/compliance process.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of CND compliance requirements for all managed networks and systems.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of the CSICP requirements processes.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the operations and maintenance of the DOD’s HBSS.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with network, server and storage virtualization, i.e. Microsoft Hypervisor and VMWare vSphere.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of IOS, EIGRP, BGP, GRE, IPS/IDS, TACACS+, ACS and OSPF.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of commercial enterprise-level tools and products to provide network services, to include but not limited to: firewalls, IPS/IDS, DNS, DHCP, web security, VPN, SAN and the like.
- Must have a CCNA cert.
