Wesbury is seeking a skilled HVAC/Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance team to help provide a safe and comfortable home for our residents!
Job summary:
The HVAC/Maintenance Technician must be skilled in heating, ventilation and air conditioning and be able to execute work orders and scheduled preventive maintenance and various other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor. Working cooperatively with other departments, employees, and the maintenance department. Economical and efficient use of facility time and supplies
Responsibilities:
Diagnosis, maintain and repair: rooftop units, condensing units and PTAC units.
Makes repairs of all heating, cooling, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, safety and fire equipment and other facility equipment as directed by the maintenance director.
Carries out preventative maintenance program by repairing and /or replacing parts according to schedules.
Cleans and maintains lighting, fans, heating units, etc.; cleans ice maker.
Keeps Maintenance Director informed of problems with equipment, buildings, and grounds.
Check air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, pumps, motors, plumbing repairs and installation, hot water.
Hook up and adjust TV's.
Assumes on-call responsibilities as scheduled on weekends, holidays or emergency situations using cell phone.
Assists with emergencies when directed by supervisor as needed throughout the facility.
Qualifications:
3-5 Years' HVAC experience preferred.
Knowledge of Life Safety Code is a plus.
Must be able to work without supervision.
Perform the physical requirements of the position which include standing, bending, and lifting.
Work well with others; treat residents, co-workers, and staff with care and respect.
Adhere to all Wesbury personnel policies as they apply to the workplace.
