THE POSITION
Are you ready to join an outstanding organization committed to increasing opportunities for older Pennsylvanians and individuals with physical disabilities? The Department of Human Services is seeking a Human Services Analyst in the Assessment Unit of the Office of Long-Term Living (OLTL) Bureau of Coordinated and Integrated Service's Division of participant supports. This position performs staff work in planning, developing, implementing, analyzing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the OLTL Independent Assessment Entity (IAE). DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Human Services Analyst, you monitor, analyze, and evaluate the performance of OLTL's IAE in establishing an individual's functional eligibility for providing home and community-based services and medical assistance in a nursing facility setting. You review operational reports reflecting IAE performance and assist in the proposal and development of corrective action and quality improvement steps.
In this position, you use numerous Microsoft software products including Excel and Outlook on a regular basis. Proficiency in Microsoft is necessary, along with other software programs to conduct bulletin searches, research, and respond to inquiries as a subject matter expert.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to five (5) days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating Human Services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating Human Services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
