YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
We have an exciting Human Resources Supervisor opportunity in our Kansas Operations. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the company’s leadership team, supporting our Rolla and Leoti Kansas operations with 600 employees. Our people are our biggest asset and having leaders to support these assets are critical. You will be implementing and applying HR policies and programs, supporting employment/staffing activities, onboarding and orientation activities, employee/labor relations, compensation and benefits administration, and assisting with investigations as required by the business unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
- Provides specialist guidance on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures. Resolves complex questions or contentious concerns/issues by providing information on processes and related policies and referring to others where necessary to interpret the policy. Coaches to enable the team to take appropriate actions.
- Communicates the actions needed to implement the business unit's strategy and business plan within the team.
- Plans, coordinates, and administers work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment/staffing, onboarding/orientation/training, benefits and compensation, and employee/labor relations.
- Collaborates to create performance objectives; takes appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives.
- Manages and reports on team performance; sets appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or projects/account team members and holds them accountable for achievement, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve work-related problems where applicable.
- Advise managers on organizational policy matters and recommend needed changes.
- Assist in planning and implementing actions, including continuing professional development to build their professional capabilities. Provide informal training or coaching to the team and others in their area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
- Represents the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations where applicable.
Minimum QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree and 1+ years’ experience in Human Resources, or related field, and/or equivalency between experience and education
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by business partners.
- Microsoft Office suite experience
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Human Resources information systems (HRIS) ADP preferred.
- Bilingual; English and Spanish preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment includes a normal office environment as well as climate extremes in all areas of live operations. Incumbent may be required to travel to farm sites, remote facilities, and/or corporate offices for training.
