BlueLinx is looking for a dynamic Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, who will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing BlueLinx's comprehensive Talent Acquisition strategy. Leads and mentors a dynamic team of recruiters and closely collaborates with hiring managers and senior leadership to deliver on our commitment to attract, engage, and retain top-tier talent across both hourly and salaried roles. The multifaceted role demands strategic acumen, hands-on recruitment expertise, a data-driven mindset, and strong leadership skills.
This is a hybrid position based out of our corporate office in Marietta, Georgia.
The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition will collaboration with HR Business Partners and the Compensation team will be integral, ensuring that recruiting programs and processes are harmonized with the company's overarching talent objectives. Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the recruiting team, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develops and implements comprehensive Talent Acquisition strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Conducts workforce planning activities to proactively plan for hiring needs and recruiting support/staffing model.
- Utilizes a variety of sourcing techniques to identify and engage passive and active candidates through online channels, networking, referrals, and other creative methods.
- Oversees recruiting support for corporate hires: deliver the assessment process, including resume screening, interviews, and selection criteria, to ensure alignment with job requirements and cultural fit.
- Partners with hiring leaders to ensure alignment between recruiting needs and recruiting strategy and confirm search requests that clearly indicate key responsibilities, requirements, environmental conditions, compensation, etc.
- Establishes and manages strategic partnerships/relationships with outside employment agencies, recruiters, community partners, targeted schools, third party vendors including temporary, contingent, and retained search firms.
- Utilizes job boards, social media, and employment branding collateral to reach qualified candidates. Maintain cost-effective recruiting sources and marketing plans.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment marketing platforms, and other HR technology solutions.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Spearheads process, system, and reporting enhancements to drive operational efficiency, elevating the candidate and employee experience to world-class standards.
- Cultivate and enhance the company's employer brand through targeted recruitment marketing campaigns, social media presence, and partnerships with industry organizations.
- Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure recruitment effectiveness, track progress, and identify areas for optimization. Reports weekly/monthly recruiting updates with key findings and recommendations.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, while championing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout the recruitment process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Required. Master's Degree a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in related area of responsibility. 5+ years with a Master's degree.
- Significant planning, strong communications verbal/written presentation, and interpersonal skills to ensure coordinated efforts across the group or business units.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment marketing platforms, and other HR technology solutions such as Dayforce, Workday, etc.
- Well-developed relationship management and strong consultative and negotiation skills.
- Success-oriented recruitment experience; in-house [corporate] recruitment experience of hourly and salaried roles; expert knowledge with proactive internet search tools/ techniques and state-of-the-art assessments, search and recruiting methodologies.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite Software and relevant tools/technology.
- Ability to operate autonomously to create and execute a wide range of recruiting initiatives, implement new systems as required, and manage vendor partnerships.
