SUMMARY

The HR Specialist performs Generalist activities in the HR department. Work as a flexible HR team member and provide excellent customer service in all interactions. Position requires excellent computer skills using MS Office, HR generalist and recruiting experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform full-cycle recruiting, including guiding and interacting with hiring managers, presenting job offers, and participating in job fairs
• Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding and periodic check-in with new hires
• Administer employee benefits and related tasks, including enrollment support, COBRA and open enrollments
• Process employee exits, conduct exit interviews and track/communicate feedback as needed
• Assist staff, interpret and communicate information, and ensure responses and outcomes comply with company policies and external laws
• Process staff changes in the HRIS
• Maintain paper and electronic personnel files and records
• Assist with employee recognition activities
• Create and maintain HR metrics, reports and org charts
• Process employment verifications and misc. requests
• Assist with misc. projects and trainings as needed
• Cross-train in other areas of HR for department coverage
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years HR experience
• Degree or certificate in HR or related field preferred
• Very strong computer skills using MS Office
• Understanding of HR practices, and state/federal laws
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and customer service skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks with timeliness and attention to detail
• Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills
• Maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately work with sensitively information and documents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
