Position Summary
Primary functions of this position are assisting in Benefits Administration and Retirement plan, Leave Management and Employee support.

Administration:
- Maintains weekly personnel file changes, including data entry and benefits updates
- Interprets policies and procedures in the payroll process
- Assures the confidentiality and safe storage and disposal of current and closed records relating to the organization's client, personnel and business within regulatory guidelines
- Conducts worker compensation claims, FROI and documentation
- Assists with Work Comp Premium Audit and Report
- Handles STD/LTD claims and administration
- Handles FMLA and LOA claims and administration
- Conducts unemployment claims, hearing, reporting and documentation
- Assist employees during open enrollment, new hire enrollment, and with processing qualifying life event changes.
- Maintains relationship with brokers
- Assists with Annual meetings with vendors
- Assists with monitoring and choosing benefits options
- Ensures Benefits portal and enrollments are current
- Acts as a resource for employees benefits questions and supports
- Prepares monthly reconciliation for benefits deductions and vendor invoices
- Monthly benefit enrollment meetings and annual open enrollment with all FTE employees
- Completes benefits data entry and reporting through benefits portal
Education/Training/Licenser/Certification/Skills Requirements
- Education and / or minimum 3 years of experience in Employee Benefit Administration, Leave Management, process implementation
- Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, USERRA, ADA, SECTION 125, 5500s, Workers' Compensation
- Must be comfortable and familiar with HRIS
- Experience working/volunteering with persons with disabilities
- Experience with Policy and Procedure and legal HR review
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to act as a role model for all organization staff
- High level of organization
- Candidate should possess written and spoken business acumen
- Ability to be flexible to meet organizational needs
- The ability to problem solve and resolve issues as they arise
- Proficient in Microsoft or compatible software
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
- Valid Iowa Driver's license
- Proof of Auto Insurance
- Must be free from conviction of prior child or dependent adult abuse, neglect or mistreatment
- Possess a motor vehicle that meets the required operational and maintenance guidelines, that are in accordance with the Iowa Department of Transportation motor vehicle safety standards and Candeo's Motor Vehicle Guidelines
