The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have primary responsibility for proactively sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates. They will be responsible for guiding applicants through the application, interviewing, hiring and onboarding process, as well as working with the Talent Acquisition Manager to develop and execute hiring strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively and thoroughly source, recruit, pre-screen, and interview candidates from both internal and external sources for general skills, applicable work experience and organizational fit.
- Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants and maintains regular and consistent communication with all considered candidates.
- Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
- Participate and support the employment branding strategy.
- Deliver a positive, professional interview and end to end hiring experience to prospective candidates and new employees.
- Assists Talent Acquisition Manager to prepare and present employment offers and all required HR documentation to ensure consistency, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Conducts meaningful reference checks, processes candidates through background checks and clinic visits.
- Ensures diversity of hiring and supports Ipsen's goals and strategies outlined in its Affirmative Action Plan.
- Develops and maintains strong partnerships with staffing firms ensuring a consistent funnel of viable candidates to support operations.
- Routinely identifies and implements new and creative ways to source and recruit viable candidates.
- Proactively builds relationships with targeted high schools, trade/community colleges, universities by attending career events, job fairs and on campus/virtual interview opportunities.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
- Maintains timely and accurate documentation of candidate progress within Ipsen's Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Assists in writing and updating job descriptions.
- Assists with onboarding and orientation of new employees.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly report detailing recruitment activities to include sourcing, offers, preemployment status, etc.
- Works on other HR projects as requested.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) coupled with strong knowledge and proficiency of applicant tracking systems.
- Basic knowledge of employment related laws and regulations; EEO, AAP, OFCCP compliance.
- Advanced proficiency with social media platforms and job boards (such as; LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.)
- Possess a professional demeanor with the ability to educate and motivate candidates to join Ipsen.
- Possess excellent communication and listening skills coupled with the ability to write routine correspondence, communicate effectively and tactfully, orally and in writing, with employees, customers, vendors, and management.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to be flexible, organized and appropriately organize tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Proficient in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends.
- Ability to travel as required to attend job/career fairs or other recruitment events. Travel up to 25% of the time but is typically targeted at designated times of the year.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Human Resources Administration, or other Business Administration related degree program from an accredited university/college.
- Minimum of two years related experience in talent acquisition/recruiting role with a preference for prior experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
